I spend a wonderful two weeks
in Makarska two years ago. It was my best vacation ever! The town itself is
charming.

The city of Makarska
is one of the most attractive and beautiful town, placed on Dalmatan coast and
is the center of the Makarska Riviera. It is beautiful, picturesque town, located
below the mountain of Biokovo, which is 1762 meter high - it is one of
the highest Croatian mountain. Biokovo is not a single mountain but
a range of mountains, it stretches about 25 km It is definitely worth visiting! There are two
high peaks: Sveti Jure – 1762m and Sinjal – 1360m.

It is famous for wide promenade with a lot of
shops, fashionable restaurants, cafes, hidden, little rocky beaches,
interesting landscapes, the crystal-clear water and Biokovo mountains.Makarska
is perfect young people looking to have a good time, but also for families.

It is ideal place to relax, but Makarska offers also possibilities for active
vacation, such as: windsurfing, banana tube, jet-ski, scuba diving biking, jet-
tennis. I rented a bike and explore Makarska and its superb surroundings and
also rode with a parachute – parasailing and enjoyed unique and breathtaking views
of the coast from the air. This was my first time
parasailing, but it won't be the last. It is one of the best things to do in Makarska.

I also visited another pleaces: island– Bol and Dubrovnik - is only three hours
drive from Makarska. I spend only one day there, but it was enough time to walk
around the city

I highly recommend Makarska and its surroundings. It is absolutely beautiful and a worthwhile place to visit.
